Pi HomeGuard can be used to help support elderly people stay independent in their own homes as well as an all purpose home monitoring security solution. During 2015 a complete solution will become available, including Pi setup image and a range of wireless sensors (PiR, Door-Entry, Temperature, Rain/Flood) specifically designed for this application.

This DEMO app is monitoring a property in real time so you can see how monitoring a property and setting alerts can be very useful. Alerts can be displayed as a PopUp dialog, a Notification or Sound on your phone, or the app can send an SMS or eMail to a list of pre defined contacts. The demo app is only refreshed every 15min but should give a good example of what is possible in the final solution.
