Picking by Voice

"Picking by Voice" realize hands-free picking in warehouse by voice order and barcode recogmition.

Voice picking is already known as the one of the effective picking solutions.

But it's cost have hesitated most users to make it realize because it requires voice recognition equipments and management servers.

Now "Picking by Voice" has come.

All the necessary eguipments are android smartphones and bluetooth barcode scanners.

This application works as it is but we love to talor and custormize this application according to your order.

The merits of "Picking by Voice"

We do not use voice recognition.

We use only bar-code scannings as responces of picker.

So

(1) Not necessary to cover the warehouse with wi-fi network. Only download spot is to be wi-fi enabled.

(2) Picker is free from head-set and also free from stress of speaking words and re-speaking at recognition error.

Image of usage

(1) Before pickings start, download the picking orders to the smartphones of each picker from a server using wi-fi networks,LAN or internet.

The picking order is defined by xml format.

(2) Each picker switch-off the smartphoneput, put it into his/her pocket and wears the finger gloves which is equiped with bluetooth barcode scanner.

Their both hands are now free.

(3) All the instruction come as voice from android smartphone's speaker.

(4) All the responces (arrival to the address to plates,product code,answer commands etc)are done by scanning of barcodes.

The answer commands are responded by scaning of the barcode-pasted board hanged from his/her neck.

How to experiance "Picking by Voice" as trial

(1) Without creating any xml, you can experiance "Picking by Voice" by downloading sample xml from our server.

(2) Without barcode scanner, you can experiance "Picking by Voice" by just touch of keyboard instead of barcode scaning.

Prerequisites

We assume you are going to use keyboard instead of barcode scaning and you are supposed to use pico-TTS ,the defoult TTS engine of android for toxt-to-speech engine.

How to use

(1) Install this apli from android market,start this apli ,then sample data will be downloaded automatically. Touch "Start button" on the screen.

(2) You will hear the guide messeage "Please enter the your ID" .

If you have the barcode scanner ,switch off the smartphone, put it in your pocket and scan "George" of Sample Barcode Sheets.

If you do not have the barcode scanner,touch "keyboad" area to make it appear soft-keyboard.

If you do not have the barcode scanner,touch the "Done" key of android keyboard.

(3) You will hear the guide messeage "My name is George. I will begin order picking. Please enter an order number" .

If you have the barcode scanner ,scan "Order No 1" of Sample Barcode Sheets.

If you do not have the barcode scanner,touch the "Done" key of android keyboard.

(4) You will hear the guide messeage "Place is tray address 1. Arrived?"

If you have the barcode scanner ,scan "Tray Address 1" of Sample Barcode Sheets.

If you do not have the barcode scanner,touch the "Done" key of android keyboard.

(5) You will hear the guide messeage "OK number is 5 pieces"

If you have the barcode scanner ,scan "Portable Water Proof DVD Player" of Sample Barcode Sheets 5 times.

If you do not have the barcode scanner,touch the "Done" key of android keyboard 5 times.

It is necessary to generate and put xml sinarios in the server before each picking starts.

We are planning to make publick a tool to generate xml-sinarios from product master and order file.
