This is an Inertial Measurement Unit for your iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad. It records the movement sensors: Acceleration, Gryos, GPS, Magnetometer and logs them to a tab-delimited text file. This text file can be then used within any application that supports tab-delimited text files such as MATLAB, Maple & Excel etc. The usable sensors will be dependant on what is available on your device. If you have an iPhone 4 or 4S then you should have everything available to you. iPhone 3GS is lacking a gyro sensor.This utility can be used to verify other instrumentation or just to get an idea of how things are moving.Things to note:• The sampling frequency is dependant on the clock speed of the device you are running it on, on a 3GS sampling frequency = 13Hz (approx.) and on a iPad 2 about 33Hz (Approx.)• Sampling is not exactly regular each sample, but the timestamp resolution is down to the millisecond, so you should be able to resolution the slightly irregular sampling period.
