The app features the poems texts, subtitled video and audio recorded performances, study notes, quick revision memos, sample questions, a game, and English translations of the meanings. Ideal for the oral as well as written exams.
It is an interactive app with audio and subtitled video with performances in Munster, Connaught and Ulster dialects. Its an app for mobiles that will allow you study anywhere, broken down in to small pieces, explained and translated.
Why the video? Poems were meant to be spoken aloud. One of the goals of the project is to bring the poetry alive (beo). It is well understood by experts that only 7% of communication is verbal. 38% is conveyed through the quality of the voice- tone, volume, speed and pitch. 55% through posture, movement gestures, facial expressions, breathing and skin colour changes.
