MATH Domain is an educational app covering math subjects typically introduced in Pre-Algebra. (More topics are steadily being added.)

MATH Domain is made-up of 4 main areas:

Learning Area

• explains math topics in an easy-to-read format

Concept Check Area

• quizzes the user on important concepts

Practice Area

• provides a practice area for several topics

• provides step-by-step solutions for practice problems

• supports Google Play's Leaderboards

• is where you can compete against friends or the rest of the World

• allows the easy sharing of progress results

Progress Area

• keeps track of progress made in the practice areas

• displays progress made on Leaderboards and Achievements

Who is this App for?

Currently, MATH Domain covers Pre Algebra topics, hence, it will mainly be helpful to middle school students, but can also be beneficial to advanced elementary school students, struggling high school students and returning students.

How will it help?

Learning areas are broken up into small, bite-size, chunks. Many of these “chunks” are followed by a quiz-like area that helps reinforce important concepts (Concept Checks).

Practice areas are also chunked where possible. For example, instead of only providing a practice area for Adding Fractions, there are also practice areas like Finding the Lowest Common Denominator, Finding Equivalent Fractions, and Reducing Fractions because these 3 topics are important sub-topics to Adding Fractions.

What’s the best way to get good at something? Repetition! Repetition! Competition?!

The Practice areas offer an unlimited amount of randomly generated questions for each topic, providing a great brain training workout. One can focus on good accuracy or fastest time and can even submit these scores to compete against others around the world through Google Play’s Leaderboards!

Note to teachers, tutors, and parents

Teachers, tutors, and parents will also find MATH Domain useful. Overall and per-session results are recorded for each Practice section. These results can easily be shared through any messaging program like e-mail. Picture yourself instructing your student (or child) to: “Answer 20 questions in the Adding Integers Practice area, e-mail me the results and attach a screenshot of the Progress Table as proof. I want a minimum of 90% correct by 5:00pm Pacific Standard Time, or you do ten more!” Just be sure to adjust your expectations to you and your student’s/child’s needs.
