Preslava's real name is Petya Koleva Ivanova. She was born on 26 June 1984 in Dobrich. Her mother is called Yanka and her father - Kolyo. She has a sister who is three and a half years older and also a folk singer in Payner - Ivelina Koleva. Preslava completed her musical education in the local musical school with a degree in folk singing and playing a fiddle. She begins to sing at the age of 15 in restaurants with great success.

Milko Kalaidjiev helps her for the beginning of her career in "Payner" company. The first song of Preslava is a duet with him entitled "Loving Racketeering” ("Nezhen reket") and is released in spring 2004. Then she still didn't use her artistic nickname and was called simply Petya. Later is released the first solo song of Preslava - "Mad Tonight” ("Tazi nosht bezumna") followed by her debut album, named her. It is characterized by two hit songs - "Bitter Memories" ("Gorchivi spomeni") and "I Love You" ("Obicham te").

In 2010 Preslava decided to start with a hit. Her new song is released - "Breathe" ("Dishai") that during the first half of the year continues to conquer the charts. Surprisingly, in May there is news that Preslava shot a video of a new duet song with Elena Parisheva – "I Drink For You" ("Piya za tebe"). The song has great success and is on top of all charts for a long time and also is one of the biggest hits of 2010. Not long before the start of the summer, Preslava made a cover of a song of her colleague from another musical company and thats how "Women After Me" ("Zhenite sled men") appeared. Preslava is part again of the summer tour and closes down the concerts together with Elena and trio BIK. She chooses the duet with Elena to open the concert for Planeta TV’s birthday in Festivalna hall in Sofia. After a short break without any new projects, in the end of the year Preslava makes a good come-back with her song "Dirty and Slowly" ("Mrasno i poleka") and shortly after that comes out information that she shot a video of a song by Costi Ionita.

Exactly at 1:11 on 1st January 2011 the video is in the air of Planeta TV and is called “How It Suits You” ("Kak ti stoi"). The song fascinates the fans from the very beginning and remains on top of the charts for three months. Together with its success, Preslava shoots a video of another song with great potential – “Dirty and slowly”. The video is promoted in February. In the same period there's information that Preslava and Galena have new duet song and they shot its video in Dubai. The song's premiere is on 23th February on the Annual Music Awards of Planeta TV in Universiada hall and it's called "C'mon, Make Me Quit" ("Haide, otkazhi me").
