Hello and thank you for visiting Pub Poker USA. My name is Eddie Unverzagt. If you have trouble pronouncing my last name you aren't the first.

I attended Monroe-Woodbury High School and graduated in 2000. From there I went to prep school at Bridgton Academy and finally college at University at Albany. I graduated with two majors in Psychology and Sociology and also was a four year lettermen in football. I, like many others, haven't used my degrees since graduating.

I have been in the restaurant business as a bartender for the past six years and couldn't imagine doing anything else for a living. Being around different people, working at a fast pace and giving great service gives me lots of enjoyment.

Two years ago I was introduced to a poker game called Texas Hold'em. I instantly was hooked and like most people thought I was awesome at it, but that was not the case! Being a bartender, I always look to start new events to generate more sales. In 2012 I found a company that held FREE Texas Hold'em tournaments in bars and restaurants. After working with the company for a year I decided to take on the challenge of starting my own poker league, which has brought me to this point.

Spending time with family and friends, bartending and playing poker are my main passions in life. Creating Pub Poker USA combines all of my passions together. The goal is to generate more business for the pubs, by bringing in customers to play in the FREE tournaments as well as give people a great, fun league to play in
