Rob Pruitt’s “The Andy Monument” / March 2011 – May 2012
Inspired by Warhol’s art and life, Rob Pruitt (b. 1964, Washington DC) created “The Andy Monument” as a tribute to the late artist. It stands on the street corner, just as Warhol did when he signed and gave away copies of ‘Interview’ magazine. Pruitt’s sculpture adapts and transforms the familiar tradition of classical statuary.

Michael Sailstorfer’s “Tornado” / September 2011 – February 2012
This arresting sculpture is a powerful response to the attributes of the site, for which it was conceived, and to the epic scale of New York City. Like a tornado, which is violently powerful but also literally made of air, Sailstorfer's towering work provides a visceral experience of sculptural form and materials in tension, massive but also vulnerable.
