When someone loses their sight, we’re here to make sure they don’t lose their freedom as well. Guide Dogs provides a range of mobility services and works to break down barriers so that blind and partially sighted people can get out and about on their own terms. Our guide dog service has transformed the lives of more than 30,000 people who are blind or partially sighted* and this number continues to grow each year. Yet the guide dog service receives no government funding. It costs £5 to support each guide dog partnership every day and if you want to help, the app allows you to donate to Guide Dogs in a number of ways (by texting 'GDAP05 £5' to 70070 or by sponsoring a guide dog puppy at www.sponsorspuppy.org.uk).*As at end of 2011
