Quarto is played on a 4x4 board. There are 16 pieces, each of which has four attributes: Tall or Short Round or Square Dark or Light Flat or HollowPlayers take turns selecting any of the available pieces. The winning player is the first player to create a row or diagonal which contains any four pieces that share a common attribute.
