RSVP is an app that implements the concept of Rapid Serial Visual Presentation, which is a method of reading where each word is presented to the reader one at a time in quick succession. RSVP makes reading a large amount of text on small screens easier, because each word is large and legible, and the eye does not have to travel or focus on small objects. When using this method of reading, studies by Carnegie Mellon University have shown that in some cases reading speed can be increased to as many as 720 words per minute.
