Sébastien Ogier and Volkswagen joined the championship with the all-new Polo WRC in 2013 and claimed a clean sweep - both drivers and manufacturers championships.

Many drivers didn't perform as well as they'd hoped during the 2013 season, so for 2014 the line-up has all changed. Østberg and Meeke take up enviable seats with Citroën. Hirvonen returns to M-Sport joining drivers fresh from the junior ranks. And Hyundai join the championship with an all-new car and driver line-up headed by Neuville. The Volkswagen line-up remains unchanged.
