Is your food made from ingredients found in nature, or from ingredients made in a laboratory? Who even has the time to research each and every label in the store?

Just point the app at a food barcode and get an instant red, yellow, or green indicator. Scanned items are marked red (contains processed ingredients linked to potential serious health issues), yellow (contains ingredients that, while not 100% natural, do not have the more serious side effects), and green (contains real, natural ingredients).

Powered by Nutritionix API, this app gives the user instant feedback as to whether or not a scanned food item does or does not contain controversial ingredients. This is a subjective test, using our own curated list of ingredients made in a lab, not in nature and generally thought to be unnatural for consumption. It is meant as a guide only.

NOTE: The Real Food Scanner does NOT take into account food allergies, other food sensitivities, or medical conditions such as diabetes.
