Red Rock Review, the literary journal of the College of Southern Nevada (Las Vegas), is a premier source of short fiction, poetry, essays, and reviews. We have published authors from all over the world but have a special interest in literature pertaining to the American Southwest. Published twice a year, Red Rock Review has featured notable writers such as David Benioff, Catherine Ryan Hyde, Marge Piercy, Michael McClure, Diane Di Prima, Michael Cadnum, Charles Harper Webb, Naomi Shihab Nye, Alberto Ríos, Ron Carlson, Susan Vreeland, Robert Wrigley, and Willis Barnstone. While we look for character-driven stories held together by conflict, we also consider pieces that experiment with traditional form. In poetry, we look for well-crafted pieces that speak to our place in the natural world and that take thoughtful or humorous snapshots of the lives we lead. Essays typically examine lifestyles of Nevada and the Southwest. Reviews focus on recent releases in fiction and poetry.---------------------------------------------- This is a free app download. Within the app users can purchase the current issue and back issues. -Payment will be charged to your iTunes account at confirmation of purchase and any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when a subscription to that publication is purchased. Bundles of single issues can be also be bought within the application. To use purchased credits, simply click on the issue price and select ‘use credit’. This allows you to purchase back issues at reduced prices. Users can register for/ login to a pocketmags account in-app. This will protect their issues in the case of a lost device and allow browsing of purchases on multiple platforms. Existing pocketmags users can retrieve their purchases by logging into their account. We recommend loading the app for the first time in a wi-fi area so that all issue data is retrieved.
