God has sent Prophets to this world from time to time to guide humankind. Religious preachers say that God always sent a prophet in times when there was anarchy, social injustice and other societal problems. Or in other words, whenever people started to forget God’s commands and became companions of the devil– God reminded them about the true purpose of their lives through the Prophets. In such a sinful society the need of a Prophet – a messenger of God - always was felt and accordingly he was sent to the rescue and guide of people to understand the difference between right and wrong. Some of those prophets came with revealed books, these are the books which known to be God’s own writing. The names of these revealed books are Torah, Zaboor, Injeel and the Quran. There are many religions in this world but interestingly the focus of all these religions is on the one thing. To live a piteous life, do justice, be kind and refrain oneself from sins. Go anywhere in the world, the names may be different from God and religion, but the message will be the same- of peace. The reason behind familiarity among different religion is that people started to attach themselves with their prophet even if another Prophet came to refresh their belief in God. For example, the nation of Prophet Moses is called Jews. The nation of Jesus Christ is called Christian and the nation of Prophet Muhammad is called Muslims. First came the Moses and his followers kept themselves attached to his name. They didn’t convert into Christianity when Prophet Jesus came with the message of God. So, the people who became followers of Prophet Jesus didn’t accept the message Prophet Muhammad. They all preached same message of God but as people kept themselves apart from other prophet’s followers hence we have so many religions today. It is said that God sent almost 1,24,000 prophets for the guidance of humankind. For having a faith means that you believe in a certain kind of religious teachings. On general note, all the faiths are for telling humankind who they are, from where they came and what’s the purpose of their lives? There are many elements of faith. Each element of faith invites us to figure out the answers of questions mentioned above. Following a particular faith or religion also enables a person to understand religion and hence he finally succeeds to live a religious life. When a person starts to act upon the guiding principles of living a life which are prescribed by a certain religion – he starts to weigh everything in the light of his faith. For example, he will consider his behavior, according to teachings of his faith regarding how to deal with parents, friends and society at large. He will figure out and will try to perform his rights and duties which his faith is asking him to perform. Hence, a person who believes and acts according to the teaching of his faith is the one who is responsible, just, and sensitive person towards the rights of other human being upon him. Normally, a person will always be careful and respectful towards the person who is of his same faith. The situation becomes different when a person is dealing with another person who is not the follower / believer of his faith. For example, intra-faith marriage poses to have more problems in their relationship because of the religion. Each partner, i.e husband and wife are trying to pull each other towards their specific faith. Such tension and confusion remains permanently till the child is born and then again parents are found in a confusion and child himself; as to whose faith should he adopt? Of daddy’s or mommy’s?. In such a marriage where husband and wife are not followers of the same faith they must evaluate and should put more weight upon the common factors of their faith. When both the husband and wife will welcome each other in evaluating the commonness in their faiths the possibility of living a happy married life becomes guaranteed.
