High School for over 25 years, Rich Lichtel positively impacted the lives of thousands of students. Rich exhibited a unique passion and love of life both on the football field and in the classroom. His heroics as the quarterback for the Bloomsburg Huskies and sideline orchestration of the Wildcats’ high-powered offense are legendary. As an individual, Rich affected the lives of so many in his own special way.

The Fund was created as a way to allow Rich’s compassion, kindness, and tremendously big heart to live on in the wake of his untimely passing in September of 2007. The Fund’s mission is simply this — To strengthen the foundation of our community by investing in our youth. The Rich Lichtel Fund is actively seeking to assist athletic, educational, and scholastic initiatives in the Harrisburg area that will have a positive impact on a group, organization or the community.
