RiverFlow is used for a rough hydraulic calculation of streams according to Manning-Strickler. The app determines the discharge of a river or channel in m³/s as well as the cross sectional area in m² and the flow velocity in m/s. The calculation is based on a constant steady flow, which means the slope of the energy curve is parallel to the slope of the river ground. Channels, which are influenced by backwater, can be roughly calculated by using the slope of the water surface as slope of the river ground.RiverFlow can calculate tripartite channels, which should be sufficient for a rough calculation in most areas.Examples are: Rivers, streams, rectangular and trapezoid channelsRawness can be chosen separately for left bank, river ground and right bank.
