This is a convenience app with minimal permissions requirements. This simple app, with a simple checkbox, places or removes a notification button in the notification bar. Users can click on the button to either force a portrait mode orientation or to allow screen rotation.

With only one permissoin (WRITE_SETTING for forcing orientation and rotation control across apps), this app needs the bare minimum permissions. The app is also released under an open source license.
