Many children have a speech disorder. One of these disorders is a Specific Language Impairment. Our research is focused on this disorder. A major problem in treating this disorder is the fact that the SLI is detected in children at a relatively late age. For successful speech therapy, early diagnosis is critical. SLIt Tool (Specific Language Impairments – testing Tool) is a tablet application that calculates very simple test for detection of children with this disorder on iOS platform (Apple, Inc.), specifically for using on iPad (iPad 3rd generation or newest). The main idea was the creation of the application that is very friendly and easy to use. A mobile device enables extreme flexibility in where the tests are carried out, making it possible to perform the test anywhere (e.g., at home, in kindergartner, in the park, …) and not just in speech therapist clinic. The users of this application will be primarily a parents of children.
