Providing you have not placed them on your blacklist, you can still receive texts from family and close friends. SMS/MMS messages are allowed from numbers that are not on your blacklist or numbers that you have placed on a White list. Should you decide at a later date you want to receive texts from a number on the blacklist, just remove it from the Black list.
