What started out as 30 newsletters passed around to friends and classmates—quickly turned into a college-based mini media-empire. In just six month's time, The Saginaw Valley Journal surpassed the older, school-sponsored student newspaper at SVSU in circulation, revenue, and Web traffic; and it hasn't looked back.
