The Salama Shield Foundation is an entity that challenges the charitable sector’s terminology and status quo. This challenge represents an attempt to “evolve for relevancy” and renew the desire to give. As we evolve, we are examining our own storied roots of where our development work began, our emerging understanding of the socio-cultural DNA that furnishes the capacity for authentic development, and how as an NGO we intend to remain relevant, responsible, and innovative in the years ahead.As part of this examination, we present, "Sustaining Stories and Developing Dreams," a philosophy that is helping to guide us through this new frontier. As part of this philosophy, we intend to share the stories and dreams of the people we work with while in the field, shedding light on the beautiful people from within this region, as well as, the work we are doing there.It is this connection that brings us together as humans, and we encourage you in the same manner, to share your own stories and dreams within our global community.This is one step forward in our own process, as we, "evolve for relevancy."
