Storage tools - Developed to assist the Storage Administrator / Architect

sanCalc is calculates the number of disk drives required to provide a desired amount of storage capacity. It also automatically adjusts the number of disks to meet IOPS requirements. (the number of "back end" Disk IO's per second required to maintain response times)

The advanced version of this application (SanCalcAdv - $0.99 in the play store) features 3 additional tools and many additional options, e.g.

Uses your own Disk Array "cache hit" data when calculating

Uses Read/Write ratio data in IO calculation for Raid5 and Raid10 disk groups.

Use your own array parity group size information, when calculating

Add new disk sizes to the app

Additional graphs

Separate function to calculate available capacity for any number of disk sizes (raid0, raid5, raid10)
