Second Grade Word Match is not just for second graders. With over 300 second-grade level words, it’s perfect for anyone learning to read and identify new vocabulary, even those learning English as a second language.

How it works is simple. When the player starts the game, she sees four circles. The one on top has the word and underneath are three audio buttons. The player taps the audio buttons (a clear human voice) until he finds the one that matches the word. Then she drags it up to the word.

Scoring is based on how many the player gets right in a row, or “streak.” The “best streak” and “current streak” is displayed at the bottom of the screen. This scoring method encourages healthy competition with others as well as motivates players to beat themselves.
