The Shibumi set is a simple game system comprising of white, black and red balls that can be stacked to form a pyramid on a 4x4 square board. This app is a simulation of the Shibumi set for trying out new game ideas in your own private sandbox, and testing how well they work in practice.

Manually move the balls around to set up board positions or play through games according to your rules. You decide the rules and the aims, and when a game is won or lost. Was it interesting? Then you've created a Shibumi game!

The Shibumi set was specifically designed as a closed system for an experiment in automated game design. So far we have about 40 different games designed by humans that can be played on the Shibumi set. Can you design any others before we let the AI loose on it?
