Shopping Assistant as the name implies helps you do your shopping chore in a cost effective manner. Its primary purpose is to assist you when you are buying your groceries. Most items that are sold nowadays have a barcode printed on them. This application basically stores information on items you have scanned. You will have to setup your database initially since unlike other applications, this app doesn’t do an online search. Not all countries have an online price comparison database. The initial database setup involves scanning items you commonly buy and entering the item’s description, price, shop where you bought it from and other relevant information. The next time you see the same item in another shop, you can then scan the item and the app will do a search and show you the price information you have stored for that item. You can then decide to buy the item or not.
