Sign IQ aims to create engagement, interaction and interest in Auslan (Australian Sign Language) through a platform that allows people to learn Auslan and encourage ongoing interaction with the deaf community. SignIQ aims to aid the general hearing population as they encounter Deaf people (either in a social, employment, learning or emergency situation), create a heightened awareness of Auslan as a language, and create an open and accepting community towards Deaf people. It is through the application that Deaf Services Queensland aims to see communication barriers further dissolved by instructing the hearing community on Auslan in a fun and interactive way and through utilising current mobile technology.
