Sketch a Frame is an app where you can quickly draw a geometry and add forces and boundary conditions to visualise deflections, normal forces, moment distribution and normalised redundancy. The app also checks if the model is stable or a mechanism.The app uses the finite element method (FEM) for the calculations. The elements are modeled as beam elements. The structures shape can also be optimised using genetic algorithm.Developed by Daniel Åkesson for the department of structural mechanics at Lunds institute of technology.
