Campus Alert application is a safety utility tool for distress messaging. It has been released in two editions, namely Student and Admin editions. Both have the features of sending and receiving alert messages at the touch of a button but only the admin edition is enabled to automatically sound alarm on receipt. This is a careful design to ensure students are not distracted by alarm sound in class and only the school administrator, Chief security officer, Associated Police officer, Medical officer, fire service officer, student affairs officer, lecturers, SUG etc. are immediately alerted when a student is in emergency.

The Track Sender button enables the admin locate alarm sender easily by showing distress location, leading them by instruction and direction by means of integrated navigation tool. The admin edition is also enabled to broadcast other messages such as announcements and instructions to all students. This current update adds Forum where lecturers can easily share resource or pass instruction to their students. In case you miss any alert, archive folder has been added so you've got nothing to loose.

This application design was prompted by the need to beef up security on our campuses, following insurgent attacks that have left several innocent students dead or abducted. It is our contribution to Safe School Project by the Federal Government. Although, it may be found useful in other Countries, Smart Campus Alert is particularly designed for Nigerian School Campuses.
