Celebrating one of Nashville's premier neighborhoods, along with the people and businesses that make it so unique, this is the official app of Nashville’s SoBro Fest!Using pictures, written clues, and iBeacon technology, users test their knowledge of the local scene by searching for hidden beacons throughout the SoBro neighborhood. By finding locations using fewer clues, they collect more points. Playing is simple… First, make sure Bluetooth is on. Then select one of the 6 red boxes. The first clue, worth 100 points, gives a hint for where to go. Leaving that clue open on your iPhone, walk to where you think that hidden beacon is located. Did you find it? The app will let you know when it detects an iBeacon signal in the near vicinity. If you didn’t find it, keep searching or tap to reveal the next clue. This one is worth 50 points. Still no luck? The next clue should make it crystal clear. If you install the app before you arrive, you’ll notice iBeacon Technology in action even before you open the app. A beacon, for which this app is specifically tuned to listen, will trigger a message welcoming you to the event. In addition to being a fun game to get to know some of your SoBro neighbors, this app highlights just how awesome iBeacon technology really is. Think of it this way… In this app, you walk up to an iBeacon and you get a “success” message, but if this were a museum… and instead of searching, you simply walked up to an exhibit of interest and rich audio/visual content is already queued up on your iPhone… well now, that effortless convenience would certainly be an enhancement to your experience.
