Sonic Lingo is a fun and easy way to learn vocabulary words for elementary school, high school or even college. It allows you to create multiple vocabulary word lists. Once a list is created, you can assign vocabulary word and definition pairs to the list. An additional feature allows you to optionally associate a stored song from your device with each word/definition pair to enhance your memorization skills.

Once you have constructed your vocabulary list, you can choose the STUDY operation to review your vocabulary words and their definitions. If you have selected a song with the vocabulary word, it will automatically play as you study each word and definition.

Then, challenge yourself by PLAYING the game. Sonic Lingo will provide you with a random definition from your list and provides up to 4 possible vocabulary word choices. If a song was selected to be used with the word/definition pair, it will play to provide a clue. The game keeps track of your answer attempts and provides you with a final score after all of the definitions are provided from your list. Challenge yourself and your friends to get the best score.

Sonic Lingo can also be used in music therapy as a fun activity for patients with memory retention difficulties. It is simple to use and vocabulary list can be tailored to each individual.

Sonic Lingo was conceived as a senior project by a high school student who was studying the relationship between memory and music. This app is the result of her work. We hope you enjoy it and find it useful.

Sonic Lingo supports an unlimited number of vocabulary lists with an unlimited number of word/definition pairs per list.
