Sound Meter for Windows Phone is a tool for measuring the sound pressure level (SPL) using the phone's built-in microphone. The application continuously measures the sound pressure level (SPL) in decibels (dB) and displays the results via a graphical level meter. Users can also take average and peak SPL measurements over a given time period between 10 and 60 seconds.

Version 2.0 of Sound Meter has an improved algorithm for measuring SPL levels. The application also now has a calibration setting that allows users to calibrate the SPL meter for the microphone and pre-amp on each specific phone.
