SpeechTest is a tool for measuring the vocal maturation of boys through pubertal change. It works by measuring average spoken pitch while counting backwards from 20 and comparing the result to expected values in relation to larynx growth in males. Designed for a research study to compare vocal maturation with pubertal development, the app aims to provide a clear indication of a boy’s progress without being invasive.
