In the first half,

Nearly a 100 pictures of common everyday objects, animals, actions, colors, etc. are shown as examples of words linked to videos ( like Apple, Ape, Alligator, etc to the sound of A' ) .

As these words are heard, the written word also appears alongside the picture. This gives the child an idea of how different letters can form words.
