How TTOMA came to birth was more humble than glorious or easy.

TTOMA was created in 1997, inspired by a hilarious cat in the little stories of an immigrant girl who tried to please her friends. The emotion-triggering origin of TTOMA was refined to completion by the author Thoma Vuille and Mik(Kim Hyun-chul. The first step by the graffiti TTOMA, which mostly started from by-corners of backstreet walls, somewhat resembles the birth of a hero as well as the inspiration given by the immigrant girl.

Thereafter, TTOMA was recorded as the first graffiti allowed in the square before the Centre Pompidou, the representative museum of France in which graffiti is taken as a serious social problem. Although the mainstream culture of France imposed more emphasis on the design of TTOMA, the fact that TTOMA was officially granted with the appearance of graffiti the resistance art deserves pride.

The TTOMA, the only graffiti granted as an art in France, became the beloved cat hero.
