Tag My World is a system comprised of a mobile application and a web application aiming at helping the visually impaired in identifying objects.

The system supports two types of QR tags:

1- Local Tags.

2- International Tags.

Local Tags:

The user should glue a special QR code generated by the application to an object and scan it in order to give it a voice tag. This kind of tags is unique for each user and is stored locally with no need for an internet connection. When the user scans a previously saved local tag, the voice recording corresponding to the scanned tag will be played.

International Tags:

A shop keeper should contact the developer by e-mail so he would be provided with a username and password for the web application. Using the web application the shop keeper would be able to generate international tags that require internet connection to be read. Additionally the international tags are read the same for all users using Tag My World. International tags would be glued on objects by the shop keeper in advance. So the visually impaired will be able to scan it right away.
