The Talking Turf Superintendent's Conference has been hosted at Leopard Creek since its inception in 2002. Our partnership with Toro, Toro Irrigation & Syngenta has allowed us to provide a high standard of education to the South African superintendents. After returning to RSA from the USA in 1997 I felt there was a lack of education available to the superintendents in our country. I voiced my concern to Steve Mangold & Steve’s words were – “You do it & we will back it!” Thank you to Toro for their dedication to this event over the years. Through the support of our sponsors we are able to provide a high standard of education boasting 7 – 9 international guest speakers at these events. Many of our guest speakers are regular guest speakers around the world including the GCSAA (Golf Course Superintendent’s Association of America). The GCSAA have been a fantastic support over the years accrediting the Talking Turf events. The 7th Talking Turf Superintendents Conference will be hosted at Pestana Kruger Lodge & Leopard Creek from 19 – 22 May 2014. The 8th conference will return to Fancourt in the 3rd week of May 2016. We are pleased to announce that Starke Ayres & Grundfos will be joining us as silver sponsors for this event.

The focus of this conference remains a high standard of education as well as great social activities to allow fun networking opportunities for the delegates. This is an all inclusive event limited to 50 golf course superintendents or assistants. It is a fantastic networking opportunity for our industry with attendees from every corner of the country, Mauritius and a few African countries.
