Don't know what to do with your additional/old android phones? Why not use it as a tamper sensor?
TamperSense detects motion using accelerometer sensor. Once a motion is detected, the phone will send an SMS to the mobile number specified.
Only one SMS will be sent each time. You need to restart the application once an event is detected. This is to prevent your mobile from continuously sending SMS.
