Teacher’s Desktop for the iPad is free of charge and can also be used without the PC version of Teacher’s Desktop (the PC version is available for the Windows platform). The import of pupil data, the printing of reports and the serial mail function are only available in the PC version of Teacher’s Desktop. Teacher’s Desktop for the PC can be obtained at www.teachers-desktop.com. The user-related licence represents a fee for the desired license period including all updates and support (no subscription). The payment may be effected by bank transfer or by credit card.Use the "Teacher’s Desktop for the iPad" in teaching and during the breaks. Any entered data are synchronized between Teacher’s Desktop on the iPad and Teacher’s Desktop on your Windows computer. This means that one may work “simultaneously” on both devices; an occasional matching of data is totally sufficient. Any data which have been entered since the last synchronization are mutually complemented. Information on the synchronization of data: In the case of operating systems for mobile devices, a connection establishment is generally only possible starting from the device (safety standard). For this purpose the mobile device would have to establish a connection for the synchronization with the PC. The PC and the mobile device establish an outgoing connection (without problems) to www.teachers-desktop.com. As soon as the connection has been established, the existing connection can also be answered with incoming data. The synchronization functions according to this principle. The proxy server forwards the data between the connection partners who have registered at the server. In this way only an internet connection of the two connection partners and the entry of the subscriber identification (6-digit number) are required.
