Tect O Trak is an Android Gps track and finds recording application. Specifically designed for metal detectorists, by a detectorist. This is the app we were all waiting for. I got fed up with waiting, so I had a go at developing it myself! I hope you like it. Your feedback and support is greatly appreciated.

This application allows the user to track and record their movements within a predefined area. Searches can be saved and resumed. Additionally, you can also mark/ revisit find spots, and make detailed photo and text records of your finds

Why does Tect O Trak require permission to read the phones state and identity?

The Android GPS API which is used in the construction of the app, has a feature to periodically make announcements. To prevent this happening whilst you’re making a phone call, the GPS API needs permission to check the phones current state. Note that reading phone state and identity is neither stored nor sent anywhere by the app.

The Lite version is a demo, and allows you to save only two search areas at any one time. Also, the multi colour tracking is restricted to one colour. To remove these limitations and help support further development, please upgrade to the full version.
