This application enables instructors and students of accounting and finance subjects to generate formative assessments dynamically.For each available subject, a user searches for relevant content by inputting keywords, selecting topics or a combination of both. The user also selects from options pertaining to the type of question and the level of difficulty.As the user makes selections, the application returns a count of practise questions that are available for the topics selected and/or the keywords input.The user proceeds to the search results and has the facility to review and amend those search results prior to generating an assessment.Further, the user can select from a number of output options (which depend on the type of user):(i) on-screen formative assessments (which include hints and facility to generate new versions of questions);(ii) on-screen summative assessments (replicates exam conditions, i.e., no hints, no new versions of questions and only one attempt at each question);(iii) PDF file output for download;(iv) SCORM zip file output for download and import to virtual learning environments such as Moodle or Blackboard.The software generates original content for each instance of a numerical practise question. Further, each multiple-choice question, whether numerical or non-numerical, generates an instance from a set of finite possibilities.
