The Test app associates an answer sheet electronically with a student participating in a test. After the association, it will be easy to grade an answer sheet and process the grade electronically, without the need to manually deal with student identity again.

The app is typically used while a test is in progress. Each student places a contactless card on his or her table. The contactless card has been linked to the student in a one-off linking exercise, which may be conducted at the beginning of an academic year or during admission to the school.

During the test, the teacher walks around in the room with a smartphone and a set of NFC labels. At each table, the teacher taps on the smartphone the contactless card of the student followed by an NFC label. The NFC label is then tied or stuck on the answer sheet of the student. Tying with a thread allows the reuse of the label for future tests. The label can be detached from the answer sheet after the latter is graded and before it is returned to the student, to be kept for future reuse.
