TetherDroid has been designed to allow anyone to use their Android phone as a WiFi hot spot. The idea behind the app is to use an old phone as a wireless access point and with the use of remote SMS commands manage the device without going near it.
Tethering is automatically enabled when mains power is detected and disabled when mains power is lost.
