We are a youth ministry here in Marysville that believes the first step to really understanding life and dealing with the issues we face day in and day out starts with a relationship with God. We know the world offers so many different answers and ideas when it starts to look at what God really is and the last thing you as a student needs is another "opinion". Our job is to create a place that you can plug in, have fun, but also worship and find out on your own who God really is.

We know that there is nothing more awkward then a student to roll into a youth group for the first time! The idea of not knowing anyone, what to expect, and honesty to maybe even feel like they don't belong there in the first place totally sucks… but this youth group is different. I know what you are thinking… we have to say that or I have heard that before, but trust me it is the truth. Our youth group is full of failures. Wait what? Yep… you heard me right, we are failures that mess up ever day. Our student ministry is full of students that have been into drugs, alcohol, thoughts of suicide and struggles with sex and porn. We struggle with lust, anger, lying and in all honest on a bad day even murder… BUT we all have another thing in common and that is we need help. Like me for example, I struggled with all these things and still do, but I finally understood about 10 years ago that I couldn’t do this life thing on my own… I needed help. Not just he lp to get up in the mornings, but help in every area of my life. So if you are looking for a place that is real and is full of students that know they are not perfect, where you can show up and feel wanted and welcomed and if you are looking for a place that will be up front and totally honest with you, but most of all a place where you can be given some answer that will make life "not perfect", but better? Well if that's the case I dare you to try The Movement… what do you have to loose?
