The Scary Turnip is a brainwarmer generator. Ideal for getting a class warmed up for teaching when you are struggling for ideas or have been asked to cover a class with 2 minutes notice!
The Scary Turnip generates three words - eg. "The Lethargic Walrus" which you use as the start of an activity. For instance:
- A three word story. You start things off and each student has to add three words to help the story grow.
- A group story. Give small groups 5 minutes to create their own mini-story baseed on the three words.
Works well with all age groups although it can get a bit close to the knuckle with adult students!
