This application presents the location, distance, direction, and current weather conditions of The Sea Ranch sheep herd.

The 'Sea Ranch Sheep' is an attraction for many families visiting The Sea Ranch, California. Children, adults, photographers enjoy observing the sheep herds in their natural environment. Herds of 300-500 sheep are enclosed in portable fencing and rotated weekly throughout Sea Ranch for brush abatement and fire control prevention.

In the past, visitors would contact Sea Ranch's private security and ask for the location of the sheep herds. This would distract the security patrol from their normal security duties.

Visitors can now utilize this application and see a map of the herds' current location, cross-streets, herd size, and current herd activities.

Previous to this Android application, it would be necessary for the user connect to the web, assuming the user had a laptop and internet access. Now, the user can bring up the app and start walking towards the sheep.
