Fresco's project aims to restructure society through worldwide utilization of a theoretical design that he calls a resource-based economy. Those ideas use a version of sustainable cities, energy efficiency, natural resource management and advanced automation with a global socio-economic system based on social cooperation and scientific methodology.

Look at the way the world is going. We are hopelessly dependent on oil and other fossil energy resources. We are pumping green house gasses into our atmosphere and we are raiding our resources just to produce goods that only last for a very short time and go into landfill. It's absolute madness! We should be reaping the benefits of our technological advancements - yet we are working harder for less or we are out of a job and money altogether. The system is in dire need of an overhaul!
