The Viceroy app is FREE for fans of the best new restaurant and bar in the Museum District, Richmond, Va.

The casual fine dining restaurant opened in July of 2013. The address at 600 N. Sheppard St. is in a building built in 1926. Many businesses have lived there over the years, and over the decades it fell into a state of serious disrepair. Owners Sean McClain and Dave Bender, veteran local restaurateurs, recently took over the building and completely renovated it, bringing the space back to life with a modern approach that tips the hat to its original 1920′s charm of architecture.

The Partners felt the neighborhood needed a more upscale dining choice, so they hired the well-reviewed and talented Chef Ryan Baldwin to create and execute the menu. Baldwin refers to the menu as “Rustic Eclectic”. He uses a creative approach to many classic concepts, while not being shy about taking chances and flashing a few of his own unique compositions. The bar boasts twenty beer taps leaning heavily towards local and national Craft beers, a painstakingly selected list of wines, and a full premium compliment of liquors and liqueurs. The goal is to provide a warm, inviting, top shelf dining experience without being pretentious or stuffy. Along with McClain’s wife Joanne and a top notch veteran staff, Viceroy should have no problem doing just that.
