Album notes

Track 1: The Awakening

The first experience in consciousness is waking up. This track serves as an overture to

the rest of the album starting off with a more instrumental texture to set the tone for the

rest of the tracks.

Track 2: GOD

In my spiritual journey and study I’ve found it to be important for the first thing to have

on my mind after waking up is God. Track 2 is all about God. To me the proof for the

existence of God is the existence of consciousness. The universe has been molded by

the existence of consciousness since its beginning and it will continue to till its end.

Track 3: [purp]

Smoker’s anthem

The beat for [purp] was inspired by some music I heard late one night watching

[adultswim] while one of the [adultswim] commercial bumpers was on. It had this fresh

ol’ skool hip hop beat with some jazzy chords on top of it that I got to enjoy for only

about 10 seconds so I made Track 3 to reflect what I liked about that bit of music.

Track 4: The Waiting Room

The Waiting Room is a concept I picked up from watching the documentary “A Band

Called Death”. In the documentary death is described as not an end to life but a

beginning to life everlasting within the divine and that our experience in this life is simply the waiting room for the true lives we are preparing for.

Track 5: On Repeat

“These times, they come and they go. And if you live long enough you’ll be around to

see em come again” -quote from the movie “Black Dynamite”

Track 5 speaks to the day to day nature of the waiting room and how easy it is to find

yourself stuck in a loop if you don’t take control of your life.

Track 6: The Question

After being in the waiting room long enough its natural to eventually ask “Why am I still

here?”

Track 7: Death is the Door
