This app provides key thermo-physical property data of sixteen different fluids listed below that are very common in industrial applications. These data helps in computation of various parameters pertaining to flow system design involving heat and energy transfers. Thus App can serve as a quick reference guide for engineers and students dealing with thermodynamics, fluid mechanics and heat transfers.

Fluids:

Air, Steam, Water, Nitrogen, Oxygen, Hydrogen, Helium, CO2, Methane, Ethane, Chlorine, Ammonia, Argon, Freon (R12), Hydraulic oil, Mercury.

Properties:

Transport properties (Density, Viscosity, Heat Capacity and conductivity) are computed at specified temperature for the above fluids; Molecular weight, thermal diffussivity, Prandtl number, and specific heat ratio are computed at specified temperature and pressure for the gases including steam.

For steam, additional thermodynamic property data are provided in the form of Steam Table covering all 3 states such as saturated water, saturated vapor and super-heat conditions at a given pressure and temperature as shown in screen shot.

Saturation properties of steam is also provided as a supplement to this table where users can select either temperature or pressure as primary argument as shown in the screen shot.

For humid air, a separate section has been added to facilitate quick reference to different humid air properties that are consistent with psychrometric charts. Users can choose either wet bulb temperature or relative humidity as a primary argument in addition to the dry bulb temperature. App computes the humidity ratio, dew point temperature, specific volume, specific enthalpy. These data can be very helpful for all engineers and technicians dealing with HVAC systems.
